General Motors is one of the oldest automobile manufacturers in the world. It has had its share of ups and downs, and hit an all-time low in 2009 when they filed for bankruptcy. With capital injections of billions of dollars GM was able to get back on their feet and begin producing cars, while providing jobs to over 250,000 employees world-wide.

The bankruptcy of GM can be viewed as a negative, but GM has capitalized on the opportunity by getting rid of many of their sub-optimal brands and narrowing their lineup to Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, and GMC. With a re-focus on building higher quality cars, innovating older models and re-launching them with the latest technology, features, and specifications.
