Hamlet is a character inside a character
Freudenreich Olive says that:1"psychiatric term for a mental state often described as involving a 'loss of contact with reality'". In play Hamlet written by William Shakespeare an interesting character by the name of Hamlet faces the same sort of reality loss. Hamlet, the title character has several altered states of mind and personality changes. Ultimately , he time after time shows through the play evidence of abnormal behaviour. He in the play has become antagonistic by his retched uncle that goes by the name of "Claudius". King Claudius killed Hamlet's father took his throne than proceeded to get married to Hamlets mother "Gertrude". When Hamlet realized what has been done, he in turn has developed a state of madness. However Hamlet was not always insane, before the tragic plot took place he was a normal individual who studied at Wittenberg University and who had several acquaintances. Subsequently, the suspicions that Hamlet has regarding King Claudius has become Pg 2

overwhelming and quickly led to his psychological alterations. Simultaneously the Oedipus Complex takes occurrence, Hamlets father had recently passed away leaving Gertrude( Hamlets mother) alone. Afterwards the unexpected marriage with King Claudius left Hamlet struggling with the concern that the alternative of Gertrude's companionship should have been Hamlet himself. There are numerous explanations for the psychosis that Hamlet pursues, nonetheless this tragedy has left his personality changed significantly.

Hamlet began the play as an ordinary University student, he had numerous acquaintances, and had a relationship with girl named Ophelia.
