Having a well-organized business model for logistics and distribution, this has increase the company continuously growth for more than three decades. In1989, AutoZone began using a (SMS) Store Management System put into place to keep the stores stocked with parts that meets customers need and register the customer’s warranty in a computer base. The satellite system was put into place to provide parts information from store to store.
Even though the reports were appropriate for monitoring sales and returns, with the company continuously growing, management soon realized there were needs for additional reporting capabilities. With that AutoZone turned to WebFOCUS BI platform, what this will allow the company to continue its tradition of technical leadership. WebFOCUS also offers throughout the entire organization that includes Human Resource training and annual reviews, store operations, sales support, and customer satisfaction reporting.
The advantage of using WebFocus allows the company to have flexibility to respond to the needs of the automotive market. The disadvantages of using WebFocus are that it has limits on multi-drill, complex coding, difficult to maintain.
