This project is all about teaching the religious concept to the student and to know the Religion and their ideologies should be taught at school level? This project is to find out whether the parents are supportive for the teaching or they are against it and also to know what kind of views they have which may help us to know their ideas about this concept. This concept of teaching is not there in Indian education system so before teaching or before taking such classes having parents view is important. There is lack of religious knowledge among the students of their own and of different so this project is to make the student aware about their religious ideologies and a basic learning about the other religious ideologies. To know about this topic there was a survey conducted and the Questionnaire were given to the parents by going to different school and the response from the parents were good and they were interested in knowing much about the topic. There were 200 samples and all these were personally interviewed and their views were recorded. At the end of the survey there were some important findings that have come through the survey and they are as follows:- * Many parents agree and are happy about the teaching of the religious concept if it’s being taught at school. * Parents say that teaching this religious concept will change the behaviour and also can be a good citizen in the society. * According to the survey many parents of different religion are happy and are supportive for the teaching of religious concept. * Most of the parents were not aware of this kind of teaching and after knowing about it they were quite supportive for the teaching of the religious concept.
Religion is an organized collection of beliefs, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to the supernatural, and to spirituality Many religions have narratives, symbols, and sacred histories that are intended to create meaning to life or traditionally to explain the origin of life or the Universe. From their beliefs about the cosmos and human nature, they tend to derive morality, ethics, religious laws or a preferred lifestyle. According to some estimates, there are roughly 4,200 religions in the world. RELIGIONS IN INDIA:-
India known as the land of spirituality and philosophy was the birthplace of some religions, which even exist today in the world. The most dominant religion in India today is Hinduism. About 80% of Indians are Hindus. Hinduism is a colorful religion with a vast gallery of Gods and Goddesses. Hinduism is one of the ancient religions in the world. It is supposed to have developed about 5000 years ago. Later on in ancient period other religions developed in India. Around 500 BC two other religions developed in India, namely, Buddhism and Jainism. Today only about 0.5% of Indians are Jains and about 0.7% are Buddhist. Philosophy spread it not only within the Indian sub-continent but also to kingdoms east and south of India. These three ancient religions, Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, are seen as the molders of the India philosophy. In 'modern' period new religions were also established in India.
