The real life video game.
I had never held an airsoft gun before in my entire life; I had no clue that my sub-par call of duty skills would ever play a part in my life. People have always told me that in real life guns are totally different than in Call of Duty and I would never be able to do it because it wasn’t realistic, not that I cared what they said. They were about to be proven wrong…. Kinda…. Not really… Me, a couple of my friends, and my cousin had all traveled to Wisconsin to go to the Wisconsin dells, but before we went we had to do some work at a farm that my friends parents owned, not that we really did any work. The farm was about an acre of flat land. We spend most of our time in the middle of the area next to a large oak tree. To our left there was a large white barn that hadn’t been touched in years and had chipped paint and was rotting away. To our right there was a house that my friend’s parents rented out and acted as a sort of landlord and just improved the place. In front of us was a large harvested cornfield and behind us was the road that we came in on. My friends had both brought their airsoft guns, and when we weren’t doing anything we shot them at things, cans targets, squirrels, and etcetera. Eventually my cousin had the great idea to use my shoulder as a mount, so he put the gun on my shoulder and shot, little did he know that the barrel wasn’t over the top of my shoulder but just pressed against it, he couldn’t tell because the sights were higher up than the barrel. He then shot and hit me point blank in the shoulder, leaving a huge welt on my shoulder. It stung for about 10 minutes but it wasn’t a huge deal. Even though I wasn’t mad about it I knew that I had to get my revenge, but I had to wait for the right time.
I waited, and waited, finally 3 hours later, I had my chance. My cousin had moved about 200 yards away and was across a large field next to the barn. I ran over, picked up the gun and began to aim. I then...
